The Oil & Gas Year Ecuador 2014
Ecuador’s stagnant oil production is about to receive a boost from the opening of 909 million barrels of P50 reserves in the Ishpingo-Tambococha-Tiputini fields situated in the Yasuní National Park. Ecuador’s Yasuní-ITT Initiative, an effort to attract compensation from international donors for leaving the park undeveloped, failed in August 2013, opening the door to exploration.
The Oil & Gas Year Ecuador 2014 is filled with exclusive interviews with the leaders of the oil industry. Co-ordinating Minister of Strategic Sectors Rafael Poveda is interviewed in the book about unifying Ecuador’s oil laws, an effort which earned him the TOGY Ecuador Man of Year award. Also featured are the general directors of Petroamazonas EP and Petroecuador EP and the minsters of Non-Renewable Natural Resources and Electricity and Renewable Energy.
The Oil & Gas Year Ecuador 2014 digs deep into the local industry as the nation is entering a new period of optimism bound to attract investors in the know.
