The Oil & Gas Year Oman 2017
Despite an extended period of low oil prices, production in Oman is reaching new highs while a number of large, exciting new projects are being undertaken in the sultanate. In TOGY’s Oman 2017 book, key leaders in the industry discuss, among other topics, efforts at diversification under the Oman Vision 2020 plan, Orpic’s three multi-billion dollar projects in the country, the promise of Oman’s developing port offerings, the country’s connection to the Iranian market and the world’s largest solar project – the Miraah Solar Plant.
The book begins with an interview with H.E. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, and also features interviews with other key decision makers in Oman’s oil and gas industry, such as Musab Al Mahruqi, CEO of Orpic; Raoul Restucci, managing director of Petroleum Development Oman; Lee Chee Khian, CEO of the Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm; Robert Swain, senior vice-president and general manager at Occidental of Oman; Ahmed Al Jahdhami, CEO of Oman Power and Water Procurement Company; Musallam Al Mandhari, CEO of OPAL; and Hans Erlings, CEO of Galfar Engineering and Contracting.
Oman’s strategic roundtable brought together top leaders to discuss initiatives to enhance collaboration among industry players, opportunities for Omanisation and the potential benefits of utilising EOR techniques in the country.
As Oman develops the infrastructure and policy framework to encourage investment, The Oil & Gas Year Oman 2017 offers invaluable access to the industry’s top leaders.
